Monash Kerb Inlet

Introducing the Monash Kerb Inlet project: a pioneering kerbside flow delivery device primarily designed for the passive irrigation of street trees and other Water Sensitive Design features. Developed in close collaboration with the City of Monash, Swinburne University, and SVC Concrete Products, this innovative solution offers a sustainable approach to water management. Civil Design Pty Ltd, in partnership with Swinburne University’s Department of Civil Engineering, led the development of test methods to calculate the efficiency of the Monash Kerb Inlet. Through rigorous testing and collaboration, we’ve also identified key improvements for the next iteration, ensuring continued effectiveness and innovation in water-sensitive design solutions.
